Our History

Active Champions was created by two teachers with over 20+ years experience working in education. Both teachers work at schools in West London, in the private and state sector.

Our Vision

We pride ourselves on not just being a childcare service! All our groups will be run by experienced, qualified teachers. We aim to create an environment where children can fully benefit from our effective and focused teaching. Using years of experience we apply teaching pedagogy to create exciting, enjoyable, and engaging activities that allow children to flourish. Throughout the day we include aspects of core subjects that enable children to acquire key learning for their age group and preparing them for their next academic year. This is something rare to find within any holiday camp!

Our Philosophy

Keeping children happy, healthy and always learning!

Meet The Team

My teaching journey has taken me to incredible cities like Manchester, Chicago, and now London. I have had the privilege of working in both independent and state schools, teaching PE and Sport, where I focus on nurturing each child while challenging them to reach their full potential. Sport is my passion, and I love inspiring children to discover the same excitement and drive. I firmly believe that, especially in today’s world, physical activity is key to keeping children happy, healthy, and confident – and this is exactly what we strive to achieve at Active Champions!

I have been a classroom teacher for over 12 years, gaining a wealth of experience along the way. For me, teaching goes beyond educating and motivating young minds – it’s about using creative tools to support the development of both academic and social skills. I strive to deliver lessons that are engaging, fun, and inspiring, helping children build confidence and a love of learning. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing young minds flourish, and my passion for inspiring them is what makes every day in the classroom so fulfilling.

Angelo Balanta

Coach

After a professional football career spanning over 15 years, I’ve transitioned into coaching and delivering PE lessons in schools for the past two years. Helping the younger generation stay active through sport is something I’m passionate about. I believe it’s essential not only for their physical health but also for building confidence, discipline, and teamwork all while making the experience fun and enjoyable.

Over the past year, I’ve been invited by Thomas and Sanna to help out at their camps, It’s been a rewarding journey so far, and I’m proud to now be part of the team. I look forward to what the future holds as we continue to grow and inspire the next generation together.

Nathan Bennet

Coach

With two years of experience as a teaching assistant, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the importance of patience, active listening, and creating a supportive environment where every child feels valued. I believe that children learn best through activity-based education that is both fun and interactive. In addition, I have experience running filmmaking workshops for kids, where I bring energy and creativity to help children explore new ideas and think imaginatively.
